Appfluent Technology Appoints Renee Lorton to its Board of Directors
Former Cognos and Peoplesoft Senior Executive brings operational
experience in enterprise software and technology

Rockville, MD, February 10, 2010 - Appfluent Technology, Inc., a software company delivering BI for IT, today announced the appointment of Renee Lorton, a former Cognos, Peoplesoft executive and PricewaterhouseCoopers Global CIO to Appfluent’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Lorton, most recently, was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Performance Management Solutions at Cognos Inc, prior to its acquisition by IBM. Ms. Lorton was formerly the Senior Vice President and General Manager at PeopleSoft, where she was responsible for its Financial Management Solutions, Enterprise Performance Management (BI), and Enterprise Service Automation divisions. In addition, Ms. Lorton previously served as Global CIO at PricewaterhouseCoopers and as Vice President and General Manager at the Business Solutions Division of Best Software. She was CEO and founder of TaxLAB, a start-up that pioneered the automation of tax application development. She is currently the President/founder of White Rock Advisors, providing board-level advisory services to early and mid-stage technology start-ups.

Ms. Lorton has been twice recognized as one of the 'top most influential people in Finance' and is a regarded thought leader and industry spokesperson on corporate compliance and IT governance technology. She holds a Master's degree from Georgetown University, Bachelor's degree from Purdue University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to Appfluent, Ms Lorton is a member of the board of directors for LogiXML and advisory board for Centrifuge Systems.
