Position: Inside Sales Representative

Educational Level: BS/BA degree or equivalent

Job Descriptions:

As an Inside Sales Rep, you will be responsible for telephone prospecting, lead generation and lead qualification from targeted list of Fortune 1000 companies.

Specific Duties:

  • Cold call middle/senior level IT directors, managers and analysts to determine their needs and fit with company's software solutions
  • Team closely with Field Sales Reps in identifying and qualifying prospects
  • Schedule product demos and appointments for Field Sales Reps with qualified prospects
  • Understand products, competition, strengths and functionality in sufficient depth to qualify prospects by phone
  • Develop prospect profile and maintain a tickler file using salesforce.com
  • Promote monthly seminars, register prospects and follow up with attendees
  • Work with Field Sales Reps to get necessary account information and formulate account strategies
  • Work with Marketing to determine which market segments are producing the most qualified leads, and to determine the effectiveness of various lead generation activities
  • Close the feedback loop to know what happens with "qualified leads"; i.e., which become sales and which don't, and why
  • Meet monthly quotas of qualified leads by telemarketing

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of telesales or sales experience, preferably with quota, or 1-2 years business experience
  • Knowledge of computer industry; prior experience in software sales preferred
  • Experience in cold calling and qualification techniques over the telephone
  • Successful completion of telephone sales training program desired
  • Strong interpersonal and selling skills required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
